Grant Opportunities

Welcome to the Division Communications and Grants website.  Here we will post opportunities for you to write proposals to serve the needs of your school, program, or the Division.

As you begin work on your proposal, immediately advise the Division central office what supporting documentation you will need. If you need help with developing the proposal, furnish a draft at least 10 days before the due date. For final signatures and approval, furnish the application package at least 5 days before the due date.

Funding of Grants

If your grant is successfully funded, a contract must be developed and approved before money can be released for expenditure. This flow chart document highlights the total process.

Help Is Available

Though we do not currently have staff to write your proposals, we are commited to offering you assistance in finding sources of funding and developing a winning proposal. We can also gather supportive documentation from central office.

The National Association for the Exchange of Industrial Resources (NAEIR)

http://www.naeir.org/index.cfm

The National Association for the Exchange of Industrial Resources (NAEIR) is an organization that collects new products from businesses and corporations for dispersal to nonprofit organizations, churches, and schools. Members of NAEIR have the opportunity to request free supplies ranging from sporting goods to classroom materials, with the only cost being shipping. First come, first serve. NAEIR allocates merchandise from each catalog on a weekly basis, over a ten week period. Simply put, NAEIR apportions the merchandise in each catalog out into tenths, giving that portion away each week as requests come in. This ensures that all of the high-demand items will not be given away at the beginning of the cycle, nor will they be held until the end. As long as they meet the catalog deadline, each member has an equal chance at the merchandise.
